Brazil forward Roberto Firmino is unfazed by the competition with Gabriel Jesus for Brazil’s centre forward berth, insisting he is ready when called upon.
Jesus is the current first choice and captained the side against Croatia at Anfield on Sunday. But Roberto Firmino helped himself to a goal from the subs bench in stoppage time.
“I'm here to help the Seleção," he told SporTV. “Whoever Tite chooses, I'll respect it 100 per cent and I'm here when needed, to give my best for the team."
Firmino was able to score with a deft finish in front of The Kop in a stadium he is well familiar with. Brazil play Austria in Vienna on Sunday in their final warm-up game.
