City Eye Jorginho Deal
Manchester City are ready to make an offer to Napoli for their highly rated Brazilian born midfielder Jorginho, according to the Guardian newspaper.
Guardiola is on the lookout for another midfielder with Fernandinho about to turn 33 and Yaya Toure to finally exit the club this summer.
Jorginho has been a staple of a Napoli side going toe to toe with Juventus for the Serie A title and Guardiola sees the Brazil born Italian international as an ideal fit for his team.
City have also monitored Fred of Shakhtar Donetsk as a long term replacement for Fernandinho, as the Manchester club plot their title defence next term.
Manchester United are also reported to be interested in Jorginho, but the player is understood to have met with City officials when Italy played Argentina at the Etihad Arena back in March.
The Cityzens had a very close look at Jorginho during the Champions League group stage, where they played twice against Napoli.
