‘We Know How To Suffer’ Says Gabriel Jesus
Brazil striker Gabriel Jesus hailed his team for their 1-0 friendly victory over Germany in Berlin. The Manchester City striker notched the winner with a first half header- but the striker was quick to heap praise on his teammates.
“It was not my best day, technically, I made a silly pass, I missed a chancee that I do not usually miss. But I think I made up for this with desire. Today was another game of desire, the goal was of desire.
“I was very happy for the victory, for the performance of the team, we suffered the moments we had to suffer, but also played when we had the ball.” The 20-year old says the victory was testament to work that has taken place on the training ground.
“We've been doing a great job. The team has been training well, playing well. The result is a consequence of what we see on the training pitch. We play to win, knowing that the opponent will have the ball and we have to know how to suffer too.”
