Ronaldinho has made it clear that he would like to play for Brazil in the Copa America in Venezuela in June.

“I want to finish the season properly with Barca”, Sport quotes Ronaldinho as saying, “but my thinking today is to participate in the Copa America.”

According to Sport, Barcelona will try to delay Ronaldinho’s departure for Venezuela until after June 23.

However, FIFA regulations demand that all players called up by their national teams for official tournaments be available 14 days beforehand. This means that national coach Dunga could insist that Ronaldinho join the Brazil squad on June 12.

Real Madrid, for their part, are worried about losing Brazilians Cicinho and Robinho, whilst Sevilla could lose Brazilian right-back Daniel Alves.
