Gabriel Jesus Gradually Finding Fitness


Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus made his return from injury as an 80 th minute
substitute on Sunday, during City’s 3-0 win over Arsenal in the Carabao Cup Final at
The Brazilian had been out for around 8 weeks with a knee injury. Jesus replaced Sergio
Aguero who opened the scoring in the match. The 20 year old is delighted to be back, but
admits his recuperation is only just beginning.
“I am well. I came on and ran for ten minutes. It was not a lot, but gradually as I get more
into the games, the more I train, that will help,” said the ex-Palmeiras striker.
“I came back to full training only a week ago, so I will improve and get better physically.”
Jesus should be in contention for Brazil’s March friendlies against Germany and Brazil.
