Premier League side Crystal Palace are in talks with ex Brazil international Diego Cavalieriover a short term deal. The 35 year old was released by cash strapped Fluminense recentlyand Palace are interested, according to the Daily Mail.
Eagles boss Roy Hodgson actually sold Cavalieri to Cesena back in 2010 after a spell asLiverpool’s back up goalie. But the Palace manager is keen for current first choice WayneHennessey to have some back up.
Cavalieri agreed to cancel his contract with Rio club Fluminense recently as part of theclub’s cost cutting exercise. The London club have a deal lined up for Getafe's VicenteGuaita for the summer.
But Hodgson wants short term cover and the 35 year old is seen as a good fit as Palace fightrelegation. The ex England boss appears to have lost faith with current second choice JulianSperoni.
