Fernandinho Signs New Manchester City Contract
Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho has signed a new contract at the club, tying him down untilthe summer of 2020. The player is a favourite of current boss Pep Guardiola, who has been keen toget the 32 year old to commit.
The Brazilian has made 30 appearances so far this season, with his City side 12 points clear at the topof the Premier League, he has starred as the defensive fulcrum alongside David Silva and Kevin deBruyne in midfield.
Fernandinho told Manchester City’s official website, “This is a Club with a fantastic future and I wantto be a part of it for as long as possible. With Pep in charge, I feel sure we can win significantsilverware and, importantly, we will try to do it playing attractive, attacking football.
