Liverpool winger Alex Oxlade Chamberlain is confident that the Reds won’t be affected by thedeparture of Philippe Coutinho to Barcelona.
The Brazilian left the club in a £142m deal at the beginning of the window, but Chamberlain, whojoined from Arsenal in August, thinks Liverpool are in a good position regardless.
“When Phil wasn't in the team, we still played great football and we have still amazing players whocan score goals,” he told BBC Sport.
“I have every faith in the boys that we just move on now. I don't think it should affect us at all. Ihaven't really even thought about Phil leaving.
"When a big player leaves, a big player leaves. You're at a big club like Liverpool, another big playerwill come in the future.”
Chamberlain is also optimistic that Coutinho’s departure could lead to more opportunities for him toplay, “Of course it's an opportunity for me, just as it is for all the rest of the boys who want to playthere.”
