In Form Willian Pushing for More Starts at Chelsea
Chelsea winger Willian says he will continue to fight for more starts in the Blues team, after a week which saw him score three goals in two games for his club.
The Brazilian scored twice in Kazakhstan on Tuesday evening against Qarabag in the Champions League, before coming off the bench to net a late equaliser against Liverpool at Anfield.
Willian has found starts difficult to come by with the likes of Eden Hazard, Marcos Alonso and Pedro all competing for places.
But the player told Chelsea.com he will continue to try to convince Antonio Conte to start him through his performances on the pitch.
“For me of course I want to play every game, but we have to respect the decision and to try to do always our best football, whether you play 90 minutes, 10 minutes, 15 minutes. We are professionals and we have to do our best.
“In this time, we had to rest, to eat well. It’s difficult because we play consecutively every three days. This is a difficult moment but we have to stay together and win the games.”
