Brazil coach Tite says that his side got a valuable workout in Tuesday night’s 0-0 draw with England at Wembley.

The match marked Tite’s first game against European opposition since taking the Seleção hotseat and he was happy with the examination his team received.

“It was a game with teams from two different schools. One of high pressure, trying to get the game flowing and another of the compression and ball speed.

“Come attack me, and I will counterattack, if you make a mistake, I will score a goal. It was the design of the game in these compacts. In this and in these characteristics the scoring chances are diminished and the great ones, even in a minor situation, were ours.

“I do not remember many chances or much danger from England. Counter attacks are inevitable, but we use this to test the strength of our defence.”
