Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho saluted German winger Leroy Sane, following City’s 3-2 win over West Brom at the Hawthorns on Saturday. Sane opened the scoring and set Fernandinho up for the second as City top the Premier League.

The Brazilian was quick to praise the 20 year old for another fine display, “He’s quick, he’s fast, he’s got so much quality with the ball and when he makes the run behind the back line, he’s very very dangerous and I hope he can improve more and score more goals.”

City have 28 points from their first ten games and have scored 35 goals in the process. “We are very happy with the way we are playing and we are scoring so many goals and goals will make the difference in the end.

“It is always nice for me to score too, especially in a game like this. West Brom were very close to us and very deep defensively. When you score a goal you are happy, but when you win the game you are even more happy.”
