Gabriel Jesus Finishes 4th for 2017 ‘Golden Boy’ award
Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus has finished 4th in the voting for the 2017 Golden Boy award, run by Italian website Tuttosport.
Jesus, who has scored 15 goals and has 6 assists in 22 appearances for Manchester City, finished behind winner Kylian Mbappe, Ousmane Dembele and Marcus Rashford.
Jesus only played half a season in the Premier League, having joined from Palmeiras in January. Jesus won the Brazilian Championship with Palmeiras before moving to England.
Jesus has established himself as Brazil’s first choice striker in the last year or so, scoring 6 goals in his first 11 appearances for his country, who have moved from 6th to a comfortable 1st in the CONMEBOL Qualifying table.
