The CBF have confirmed that Brazil will play a World Cup warm up friendly against Russia in Moscow in March. The match will take place on Friday, 23rd March in the Russian capital.

The game will form part of the Seleção’s preparations for the tournament in Russia next June, with games against Japan and England to come in November.

Tite is keen to test his charges against opposition from different continents and a March trip to Moscow will give the team a chance to familiarise themselves with the environment they will find at the World Cup.

The friendly has been mooted for a while, with another likely to follow in the March international round against Germany. There will probably be some friendly games planned for late May immediately prior to the tournament too.
