Brazil boss Tite has paid tribute to the infrastructure at Palmeiras, which the Seleção have used as their training base in the build up to Tuesday night’s World Cup qualifier against Chile at Allianz Parque.

Tite enthused, “I was amazed by the whole structure, with all that Palmeiras has available to its professionals so they can grow. It’s really amazing. I thought it was good. They are to be congratulated.”

Tite coached Verdão briefly from May to September 2006 and he says it is clear that there has been a big improvement in that time, “Going back to the past a little bit, I see the size of the improvement that has happened here. This all brings a final product of excellence.”

Likewise, talisman Neymar was similarly impressed. The PSG forward was a Palmeiras fan as a child and he told the local press, “The structure is excellent, the club is to be congratulated for it. I’m happy to train here for the first time.”

Palmeiras president Maurício Galiotte added, “Today we had the privilege and satisfaction to receive the Brazilian National Team, Professor Tite and the players. The structure of Palmeiras is available and it is a great honour to be sharing this moment with them.”
