Brazil midfielder Casemiro said he was satisfied with Brazil’s performance in their 0-0 draw with Bolivia in La Paz on Thursday evening, despite not collecting all 3 points.

The Seleção were already guaranteed top spot, but took a strong team to La Paz. Bolivia held Brazil at bay, securing a 0-0 draw thanks in no small part to their goalkeeper.

Casemiro, who captained the side, said he was happy with the display, even if the team had to settle for the point, “We knew it would be a difficult game, principally because of the altitude,” he said.

“We created lots of opportunities, but the goalkeeper is happy tonight. So we have to congratulate him, because he had a great game.

“If there had been a winner for the game, it would have been us,” the Madrid man reasoned. “We created a lot. We had at least 5 clear chances.

“What we must keep in mind is that we played a good game, it was just missing a goal. But we knew it would not be easy here.”
