Monaco’s Brazilian Fabinho is set to complete a transfer from French champions Monaco to Paris Saint Germain this week. The player’s future has long been subject to speculation, but he looks set to join the Monaco exodus.

The Ligue 1 champions have already lost Bakayoko, Mendy and Bernardo Silva and teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe will join Fabinho in moving to the capital, as PSG consolidate on the £198m they spent on Neymar in August.

Fabinho played and scored in Monaco’s 6-1 victory over Marseilles on Sunday, but that is set to be his last action for the club, with a €55m move to be completed in the coming days. Monaco have already secured his replacement with Belgian midfielder Leander Dendoncker from Anderlecht.

Fabinho has also been linked with Manchester United and can play at right back, but has excelled in a holding midfield role for the French side. He is also bidding to muscle his way into Tite’s plans for the 2018 World Cup.
