‘Monaco Know My Will’ Says Fabinho, Amid Manchester United Links
Monaco’s Fabinho has dropped a broad hint that he would like to join the exodus of players from Monaco to other European clubs. The French champions have already lost Benjamin Mendy, Bernardo Silva and Tiemoue Bakayoko to Premier League clubs this summer.
Star striker Kylian Mbappe is subject to intense speculation, whilst Thomas Lemar has been linked with Arsenal. Fabinho, who can play at right-back or in central midfield, has long been linked with a move to Manchester United.
Following Monaco’s 4-1 win over Gijon this weekend, Fabinho suggested he would be open to the move, "I feel good, there is nothing to say about my situation, the club knows my will," said the 23-year-old, “I hope we will continue this way and that Monaco will still be okay."
The club’s Vice-President Vadim Vasilyev has previously suggested that Fabinho will not be sold this summer, “We have kept all of the key players that we intended to keep. Fabinho is a must-have player in midfield who was being courted by all the major clubs.”
