Juventus Shut the Door on Chelsea Alex Sandro Move
Juventus appear to have slammed the door shut on Chelsea’s attempts to lure Brazilian left-back Alex Sandro to Stamford Bridge. The London club have been courting Sandro all summer, but Juventus boss Max Allegri has firmly insisted that the transfer will not be sanctioned.
Juve have already lost Bonucci and Dani Alves this summer and the Serie A champions will not countenance further depletion to their back line. Speaking after Saturday’s 2-0 friendly defeat against Spurs at Wembley, Allegri was in unapologetic mood.
“Alex Sandro is a Juventus player and he will stay one.” On the chances of Sandro leaving for Stamford Bridge, the coach added: "No chance."
Chelsea have been looking for someone to compete with Marcos Alonso for the left-wing back berth, but it appears that they will have to turn their attentions elsewhere.
