A source close to Paris Saint Germain has told ESPN that Neymar has already agreed personal terms with the French club, meaning they can push ahead with meeting his €222m release clause and completing his signing.
Rumours began to circulate last week of PSG’s interest in the player and those stories have snowballed. Neymar is said to be tired of playing second fiddle to Lionel Messi and wants to move to PSG to be their marquee player.
Neymar’s agent and father has apparently been in discussions with PSG’s Qatari owners and a contract of around €30m a year after tax, four years in length has been agreed. The player is currently in the USA with Barcelona on pre-season tour.
But it is reported that he has already told his teammates that he expects to leave for France this summer. He would hook up with international teammates Thiago Silva, Marquinhos and his best friend Dani Alves.
