Manchester Coty midfielder Fernando Reges is set to join Turkish giants Galatasaray, with reports in Turkey suggesting that the Brazilian has agreed a 3 year contract with Gala, with an option for a fourth year.

Fernando’s opportunities have been limited since the arrival of Pep Guardiola last summer and the 29-year old was not included in the party travelling to the USA for pre-season. Newcastle United were also said to be interested, but could not meet City’s valuation.

Fernando joined City in 2014 from FC Porto, but has never fully broken into the starting XI. A deal between Galatasaray and City is apparently to be reached, but the Turkish club are understood to have agreed personal terms with the player.
