Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is optimistic that forward Roberto Firmino will be fit for today’s crunch clash with Middlesbrough at Anfield. The Reds need to win to confirm 4th position and Champions League qualification.
The Brazilian missed last week’s 4-0 win over West Ham with a muscle complaint, but Klopp thins he should be fit to take on relegated Boro, “We could not decide until now, but he feels good and he feels comfortable.
“He did a lot of things, but was not part of team training. That’s not a problem after this long season. I think we will make a final test on Sunday. In this moment, I would rather say ‘yes’ than ‘perhaps’, but I am not sure.”
