Liverpool striker Divock Origi has paid tribute to teammate Philippe Coutinho, describing him as “the magic man.” Liverpool just need to beat Middlesbrough at home on Sunday to confirm 4th place and the Belgian thinks they owe much of their progress this season to Coutinho.

In the wake of Sunday’s 4-0 win over West Ham, in which Coutinho scored twice, Origi beamed, “He has moments of magic. I think he has a lot of talent.

“He’s a top player and an experienced player, and he’s still only 24, so I think that’s very special. He helps us a lot. He’s there in the big moments and for me, he’s a joy to play with.

“At West Ham, you could feel that we were all together and we just gave everything. We showed our quality and I think everybody enjoyed the game. We know we have the offensive qualities and we showed that by scoring four goals.”
