Manchester City striker Gabriel Jesus has stepped up his recovery from injury having returned to light training with the club. The Brazilian has been out since breaking a bone in his foot in early February.
Jesus had experienced a great start to life at City with three goals and three assists in his first five games, before breaking his metatarsal at the Vitality Stadium. City boss Pep Guardiola revealed today that the 19 year old is back in training.
“Yesterday was the first day he started going onto the pitch to run and walk,” Guardiola revealed, “I do not know exactly how many weeks he needs to get back, but I think he’s in the final part of his process, so we’ll see. I hope he can help us with the games at the end of the season.”
