Liverpool duo Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino face a race to be available for the Merseyside derby against Everton on 1st April. The pair have been selected to represent Brazil in next week’s World Cup qualifiers.
Brazil play at home to Paraguay in São Paulo, which will finish at around 3.30am and the match against Everton at Anfield takes place at 12.30pm on Saturday, 1st April. Back in November, Liverpool, Manchester City and PSG pooled money together to hire a private plane for their Brazil based players to return on time.
Meanwhile, Roberto Firmino is expected to be fit for Sunday’s top of the table clash with Manchester City, with Reds boss Jurgen Klopp confirming in today’s press conference, “He will train with the team today or tomorrow.”
Firmino missed Liverpool’s 2-1 win over Burnley last weekend with a muscular problem picked up in the 3-1 win against Arsenal.
