The CBF have confirmed that Brazil will play a friendly against Germany in Berlin in March 2018. It will be the first time that the teams have met since the infamous World Cup semi-final in 2014, when Germany dismantled Brazil 7-1 in Belo Horizonte.

The friendly will form part of Brazil’s warm-up for the Russia 2018 World Cup with qualification looking very likely. With friendlies against Argentina and Australia confirmed in Melbourne in June, the match will prove to be a precious opportunity for Tite’s men to face stiff European opposition.

The match will take place in the Olympiastadion on Tuesday, 27th March. Brazil’s U-23s defeated Germany on penalties in the 2016 Olympic games final. The last time the sides met in a friendly in 2011, Germany prevailed 3-2 in Stuttgart despite goals from Robinho and Neymar.
