Brazil will meet Argentina in a friendly in Melbourne in June. The Superclasico will take place at the famous Melbourne Cricket Ground on June 9th. The MCG holds 100,000 people and is expected to sell out for this prestigious friendly.

It is the first time a Superclasico will be played in Australia. Brazil’s World Cup qualifying schedule has precluded them from playing money spinning friendly games in nearly two years. The match will kickoff at 11.05am BST.

There is speculation that the Seleção are also lining up a friendly match with World Cup hosts Russia in June, to be held in Moscow. The two teams played one another in London back in 2013. It will be Tite’s first friendly as Brazil coach.

Brazil defeated Argentina 3-0 in Belo Horizonte in November and two Diego Tardelli goals saw the Seleção prosper 2-0 against their old rivals in Beijing in October 2014.
