Brazilian full-backs Dani Alves and Marcelo have been voted into the FIFPRO World XI for 2016. This is Alves’ sixth appearance in the FIFPRO World XI. Alves and Marcelo won their votes in the right-back and left-back slots respectively.

Dani Alves moved from Barcelona to Juventus over the summer, but has remained a fixture in the Seleção. Marcelo has lost his place in the national team to Filipe Luis, but is voted in for his performances for World and European champions Real Madrid.

Neymar missed out on the voting, with Messi, Suarez and Ronaldo selected as the front three, despite captaining his country to Olympic gold in August. The full team was: Neuer, Dani Alves, Pique, Ramos, Marcelo, Modric, Kroos, Iniesta, Messi, Ronaldo, Suarez. Manuel Neuer was the only player not to have represented Barcelona or Real Madrid for at least part of the year.
