Agent confirms offer from China for Lucas Lima, but says he would stay at Santos
Wagner Riberio, agent of Lucas Lima, confirmed on Friday that the attacking midfielder received a proposal from Chinese football, but was not interested in what he heard.
Lucas had talked about it on Thursday, but the businessman went further and said that the playmaker should continue at Santos next year. During the wedding ceremony of Paris Saint-Germain winger Lucas Moura, the agent said that Lucas Lima spoke with his father and was not encouraged by the offer from China. The number 10 of Santos said that he's 'only thinking of Santos' during a friendly game organized at the Pacaembu by Neymar and Robinho. Lucas Lima is one of the major players of Santos and his maintenance is a stated desire of the club's board - especially because the team owns just 10% of the economic rights of the player and would only receive a small profit in the event of a transfer.
Lucas Lima arrived at Santos in February 2014. With the Brazilian side, he won the Paulistão Championship twice and was runner-up in the Copa do Brasil and in this year's Brasileirão. Next season, if he really stays at Vila Belmiro, Lucas will play in the Libertadores for the first time with Santos.
