Manchester City will have midfielder Fernandinho available again for their Boxing Day trip to Hull City. The Brazilian has finished serving a three match ban after his red card against Chelsea just under three weeks ago.
Following a tackle by Sergio Aguero on David Luiz which saw Aguero receive his marching orders, Fernandinho became embroiled in a tussle with Chelsea’s Cesc Fabregas, gripping him by the throat and pushing him over the advertising hoardings.
City, who moved within seven points of leaders Chelsea after their 2-1 win over Arsenal last week, will be able to call upon Fernandinho again for the game with Hull, with the player likely to replace compatriot Fernando Reges in central midfield.
