Inter boss Stefano Piolo insists that he wants more from Gabriel Barbosa and refused to rule out a move for the player in January. Gabigol joined Inter Milan in August, but has featured as a substitute on only three occasions so far.

Reports in Brazil suggest that the player could be loaned back to his old club Santos, whilst Atlético Mineiro are also thought to be monitoring his situation with Robinho’s future still not resolved. Gabigol played 4 minutes of Inter’s 3-0 win over Lazio last night.

But Inter boss Pioli wants more from the young Brazilian, “I am happy at the enthusiasm for Gabigol, but I’d like to see him make some moves that are more useful and not just spectacular for the sake of being spectacular.

“Will he remain? We are evaluating the situation. Our first objective in January is to whittle down the squad, because we want players who are happy to be at a big club like Inter. We are Inter, proud to be a big team and will go forward only with those who share that view.”
