Russian agent Dimitrij Seljuk, who was involved in a recent controversy with Manchester City coach Pep Guardiola, has attacked AC Milan striker Luiz Adriano.
Responsible for managing the career of Manchester City"s Yaya Touré, among other players in European football, has belittled Brazilian striker Luiz Adriano. In a statement to the site Championat and reproduced by the newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, he advised Spartak Moscow to not sign the Milan striker. The businessman even compared the striker to his former team-mates at Shakhtar Donetsk, the club he defended between 2007 and 2015, when he won six Ukrainian Championship titles and became the club"s all-time top scorer with 128 goals. Luiz Adriano, who was bought for €3 million from Internacional, left Shakhtar for a fee of €8 million, while Alex Teixeira, Willian, Fernandinho and Douglas Costa left for much more money.
The agent said: “I do not believe in such a stupid negotiation. Only an idiot would buy Luiz Adriano from Milan. Or a corrupt person. I"ve known him for a long time. There is a reason for his ex-club to have sold him for just €8 million. There were so many Brazilians at Shakhtar playing with him. His only advantage is speed. Spartak prefers control in the field, and would throw the money away with that player. Does Spartak really need a player who has played a maximum of 120 minutes throughout the season without a goal or an assist? Fedun [sports director of Spartak] must be careful, not with the signing of the player, but with those who propose such things. With these people, it"s best not to have connections."
Signed with the prestige of being the first player to have scored four goals in the opening 45 minutes of a UEFA Champions League game and the second, after Messi, to have found the net five times in a match, Luiz Adriano did not live up to expectations at Milan. He scored eight goals in 36 appearances last season. A reserve in the current season, he has started just one official game.
