Inter Milan coach Stefano Pioli once again talked about Gabigol’s lack of opportunity in the starting lineup.
After a 2-1 win against Sparta Prague in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, the coach said that the Brazilian is not as prepared as his team-mates. Since being signed by Inter Milan in the last transfer window, Gabigol played only 16 minutes against Bologna in the Italian Championship. According to the newspaper La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Italian club are considering the possibility of loaning out the Brazilian striker in January. The player’s agent Wagner Ribeiro has already expressed his discontent in an interview with Rádio Bandeirantes this week. Pioli said: “We talk a lot about players who are not on the pitch, there is a coach who works and picks players who are ready, and if he has not been picked, he is obviously less ready than his teammates.”
Wagner Ribeiro said: “Gabriel Barbosa is not happy with Inter, even with a good relationship with his team-mates. The problem is on the field because he is not having any chance to play.”
