São Paulo have confirmed the appointment of two foreign professionals to join the technical committee of new coach Rogério Ceni.
The former goalkeeper chose Englishman Michael Beale and Charles Hembert to assist him at São Paulo next season. Since 2012, the Englishman worked as a coach for the U23 side of Liverpool. Before, he had gone through Chelsea"s youth system. The relationship between Ceni and Beale deepened in the former goalkeeper"s visit to Liverpool last September, when he was taking the coaching course of the English Football Association. The Brazilian was with Jürgen Klopp, who manages Liverpool, but also talked with other members of the committee. Beale worked at Chelsea from 2003 to 2012. There, he was the U14"s coach and responsible for the development of the club"s youth categories. In September 2012 he took on a similar role for the U15 and U16 teams at Liverpool. In a restructuring in August 2014, he was promoted as U21"s coach, and presently leads the U23 team.  The idea is for him to help in the integration of young players revealed by São Paulo.
“It"s a contract that is being developed and practically finished. They are two professionals that we have a deal with, and they will come to work with us and, according to Rogério, who made the choice, will add a lot in our quality," said the club"s president, Carlos Augusto de Barros e Silva.
Frenchman Charles Hembert speaks fluent Portuguese and also narrowed the tie with Rogério Ceni in the course of the FA. He worked as a logistics professional at Pitch International [CBF"s business partner]. The club will keep the assistant coah Pintado, while the other members of the technical committee should be chosen soon.
