Linked to Galatasaray, defender Luan doesn't guarantee his stay at Vasco in 2017
Speculated for a possible sale, young defender Luan awaits a definition of the club and talks about taking advantage of the holidays to enjoy things that he couldn't do in the bad phase of Vasco.
Luan wants to enjoy vacations and doesn't know if he will continue at Vasco in 2017. With guaranteed access to Brazil's top division, the defender admitted the relief to resume life normally, but doesn't know if he will remain at Vasco next year. Recently, Luan attracted the interest of Turkish side Galatasaray. According to the Turkish press, the club would be willing to pay €3.5 million for the defender, but was still awaiting the endorsement of the coach, Jan Riekerink, to advance in negotiations. Officially, Vasco assures that they haven't received any offers for the player, but the board works with the possibility of negotiating to make cash. Taking advantage of holidays, for the moment, is Luan's main concern. The defender said that during the poor phase of Vasco, he avoided doing normal programs, like going to restaurants and to the beach. Now he wants to make up for the lost time.
He said: "I don't know what's going to happen in my life. I have a contract until 2019, and nothing has come to me. I'm waiting to get through what will happen in my life. I don't want to think about anything either. I want ten days to get out of the world and enjoy my family. I want to get some rest. Sit in a restaurant, something I haven't done for months, and have a beer with my wife. I want to live a little. How was I supposed to get out of my house? We wanted to go out to eat, but we could not, because you got to be ashamed on the face."
The squad of Vasco only goes on vacation next Wednesday. This week, the players will have medical examinations and will complete the bureaucratic procedures for the trip to the United States in January 2017, when the club takes part in the Florida Cup.
