After recovering from a knee injury at Verdão, the striker will play in the state championship for São Bernardo, but expects a new opportunity at his parent club in 2017.
Striker Patrick Vieira, revealed by Palmeiras, has signed a loan agreement with São Bernardo until the end of the Campeonato Paulista of 2017. He presents himself to the new club as early as December. The player, whose contract with Palmeiras runs until May 2018, has spent the last few months in the care of the club’s doctors, recovering from a left knee injury. He said: “Firstly, I would like to thank the Palmeiras medical department for all patience and attention during the recovery. It was not easy to spend the year without being able to play. And fortunately, today I feel healthy to be able to act at a high level and without pain, which is the most important thing.”
For Palmeiras, the striker has made 39 appearances and has five goals to his name. Last year he was loaned out to Náutico for the Série B. He had already passed through Yokohama in Japanow, but now dreams of being used again by Palmeiras next year. He added: “I’m focused, for the second time, to return to be used by Palmeiras. I’m confident because I believe it’s up to me. And when I had the opportunity to play, without discomfort, I responded in a positive way to the responsibility that was placed.”
