Barcelona thrashed Manchester City on Wednesday in their third group stage fixture of this season"s UEFA Champions League.
And Brazilian forward Neymar, who scored a fine individual goal in the 4-0 victory, surpassed the number of goals by Ronaldinho [18] in the competition and got closer to legendary striker Romário. With 19 goals in total, the number 11 of Barça is part of Brazil"s elite squad in the history of the competition. Neymar is the sixth highest Brazilian goalscorer in the UEFA Champions League. The number was achieved in 32 matches; Ronaldinho [Barcelona and AC Milan] took 47 matches to score his 18 goals. Juninho Pernambucano also has 18 goals in 58 games for French side Lyon.
Romário has 20 goals in the Champions League, scored for PSV Eindhoven and Barcelona. And the interesting thing is that he needed just 32 games in total, exactly the amount of matches that Neymar reached against Manchester City.
