Lucas Lima"s entourage believes that the playmaker can be sold during the transfer window to Europe in the middle of next year.
Lucas Lima has changed the tone of his speech, but did not reduce the uncertainty about his future. With a contract until the end of 2017, the midfielder is negotiating a contract renewal with the Brazilian club. However, the number 10 of Santos does not rule out moving to China in the next transfer window. As mentioned in UOL Esporte, Lucas Lima had recently turned down an offer from Chinese team Hebei Fortune, who offered monthly wages of over €1 million. Lucas believes that the extension of the bond, something that has only been the subject of a meeting between the player"s representatives and the club, can facilitate a way out in the future. He said: “There"s this possibility [of renewing]. I feel very good here. If I leave, it has to be good for me and for the club. Otherwise, I"m not going. It"s my home, I have friends here. There"s a chance [of going to China], but I will analyse. I leave that aside, because I"m having a good time at Santos. I don"t seek to know."
Lucas added: “I believe that if I renew, there will be an exit clause good for both sides. So you got to see… put everything on paper and see what it"s worth. I will make it clear that I"m happy here."
