Manchester City midfielder Fernandinho has paid tribute to the fight of his team, after coming from behind 3 times to draw 3-3 with Celtic at Parkhead. It was the first match that City have failed to win this season, but the Brazilian saw plenty of positives from his team.

"We try to win every game and unfortunately we conceded three times, but the fight of the guys was amazing. To play here is not easy, the atmosphere was very, very good. Our players showed great quality and very good character to come from behind three times.

"It’s normal [not to win every game], when you come away from home in the Champions League on this kind of pitch, the fans push them all the time, after their defeat against Barcelona they had to show something special and they did."

Fernandinho got himself on the score sheet for the third time this season, commenting on his scoring form, he said, "It’s good to score goals but it’s not my target. I just try to help my teammates and sometimes I can score goals. It was a great assist from Alex Kolarov. It’s especially nice to score in the Champions League."
