Chelsea midfielder Oscar has put his national team recall down to his versatility. The Brazilian had been omitted from Tite’s first squad in September, but has been recalled for October qualifiers against Bolivia and Venezuela.
Oscar thinks that his ability to play in several midfield roles may be the reason behind his recall, along with his good form this season. He told ESPN Brasil, “If I’m here at Chelsea, I will always have a chance, because this is a big European club. And when you’re good at a big European club, you have a chance.
“It was always like that with me. In the five seasons that I’m here at Chelsea, when I’m good, I’m always remembered. I’ve been playing well in this start of the season and I am happy to have been remembered.
“Everyone knows that I can play as a second defensive midfielder, as an advanced midfielder, number 10, number 8. I can work in many roles, so Tite knows and the Brazilian people know it too. I’ve been playing for the national team for four years and everyone knows how I play.”
