Paris Saint Germain’s Brazilian winger Lucas Moura says that he will miss the presence of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and David Luiz at the club. Ibrahimovic joined Manchester United on a free transfer in June, whilst his compatriot Luiz rejoined Chelsea on transfer deadline day.
Moura, who joined PSG three and a half years ago from São Paulo and he says the French club will miss both players, as characters and for their ability. Speaking with ESPN Brasil, Lucas, who has been linked with moves to Manchester United and Liverpool, was saddened by the departures of his teammates.
“Of course we will miss them, Ibra will leave a gap for his quality and status. He brought about our team and is a player who we will miss, but PSG are a big club, we cannot depend on just one player. We have many players who can make a difference, we remain strong.
“Certainly the absence of David will be felt. It changes the atmosphere of the locker room and the team when you’re around. He is always smiling and plays all the time. A person as he obviously will be missed.”
Paris Saint Germain have been drawn in the same Champions League group as Arsenal and will play against the Gunners on Tuesday evening, at Le Parc des Princes.
