The attackers, who are also part of Tite"s senior squad, appear in the list of the six biggest transfers in the history of Brazilian football. Gabriel Jesus is third and Gabigol is sixth on the list. Only Neymar and Lucas Moura cost more than the €32.7 million fee agreed between Palmeiras and Manchester City for Gabriel Jesus. The 19-year-old only travels to England in January, after the end of the Brazilian Championship.
Gabigol was sold to Inter Milan for a fee of €29.5 million. The player"s agent Wagner Ribeiro said: “This amount is recorded in the FIFA transfer document. Santos received €18 million and the rest with the father of Gabigol."
Sold to Barcelona in 2013, Neymar cost around €88.4 million. Santos received the lowest share, and even had to pass a part of the fee to investment group DIS. A year earlier, São Paulo had sold Lucas Moura to PSG for €43 million.
