Santos playmaker Lucas Lima did not play in Tuesday"s FIFA World Cup qualifier against Colombia and so decided to return to his club as soon as possible.
On a chartered flight, Lucas Lima slept for around three hours, came to Santos in the morning and was present for the training session. After a brief conversation with Santos coach Dorival Júnior, it was defined that the number 10 would be starting against Internacional, on Thursday, at the Estádio Beira-Rio. Lucas Lima said: “He asked if I was okay, and I said I could play. Unfortunately I did not play for the national team, but did hard training and must keep a good pace. I"m crazy to play for Santos. I"m ready. I will rest today [Wednesday] and make a good start tomorrow. The trip was a little long, boring, but I decided to train. I"m ready, yes."
