Brazil goalkeeper Alisson has moved to play down criticisms of ex Brazil boss Dunga. Dunga was sacked in July, bringing the curtain down on his second stint as Brazil boss following a second consecutive poor showing at the Copa América.

But Alisson, who was given his debut by fellow ex Inter idol Dunga, says that the players must take their share of the blame for the failures under his tenure, “The criticisms were not only for Dunga, they were for us too. We enter the field, we make things happen or not. When you are in bad form, the ball hits the post, or the goalkeeper saves it. We were responsible.”

Alisson, who left Internacional to move to Serie A giants Roma during the transfer window, credited new manager Tite following the Seleção’s 3-0 win in Quito on Thursday, “Tite gave us words of encouragement, he greatly helped organized the basics and, through this, we returned to a simple game, playing with the ball.”

Brazil face Colombia in their second September World Cup qualifier in Manaus on Tuesday night, 10bet.com are offering odds of 7/5 for Brazil to win by two goals or more.
