Manchester United’s Brazilian winger Andreas Pereira has joined La Liga side Granada on a one year loan deal. The 20 year old lost his place in Brazil’s Olympic squad as his opportunities at United dwindled last season and new boss Jose Mourinho has taken the decision to loan him out.

Pereira played 11 games for United last season, scoring 1 goal, but didn’t start a game after January. Pereira has not been involved in any of the matchday squads for Manchester United’s first three games this season.

The signing of Henrik Mkhitaryan has pushed Pereira further down the pecking order at Old Trafford. It is reported that Mourinho’s preference was for Andreas Pereira to be loaned to another Premier League club, but instead the Brazilian will continue his development in La Liga.
