A transfer to Italian side Inter Milan was kept in waiting list after a kind of research by Santos striker Gabigol and his father Valdemír.
According to the information from UOL Esporte, Gabigol and his father sought information about the Milan club after receiving an official proposal of €25 million. The report found that Inter Milan defender João Miranda was one of those consulted by the 19-year-old attacker. After recent conversations by telephone, Gabigol was not excited about a transfer to Inter Milan, and is doubtful. The number 10 of Santos discovered that Inter undergoes a transition after being sold to Suning group of China. In addition, Gabigol was told that Inter do not have a very competitive team and power to fight for titles today. It is noteworthy that the Santos striker is extremely competitive and ambitious for titles.
Gabigol will decide his future after the end of the Olympic Games. The attacker is a starter for the Brazilian national team that faces Honduras in the semifinal of the competition. Santos are contractually obliged to accept if there’s an offer of €18 million, and the player would receive the remaining €7 million if he accepts to go to Inter. According to Gabigol’s agent Wagner Ribeiro, the highest bid for the attacker comes from Premier League champions Leicester, who are willing to offer €27 million. Modesto Roma, president of Santos, says that Wagner Ribeiro is lying and that he hasn’t received any official offer from the English club.
