Brazilian club Santos haven’t received their share from FC Porto after the sale of full-back Danilo to Real Madrid in 2015.
Besides trying to reach an agreement for a friendly against Benfica and negotiate the sale of striker Gabigol, Santos president Modesto Roma should meets the leaders of Portuguese side Porto to collect a debt, in relation to the transfer of Danilo to Real Madrid last year. According to the information from UOL Esporte, Santos are supposed to receive €1.4 million, which is 10% of the profit from Danilo’s transfer. Santos are entitled to the amount because of a contractual clause which was agreed in 2012 when the player left Brazil. Porto proposed to pay Santos in two installments, but so far the club haven’t received the money. Danilo played at Santos for two seasons, but was sold to Real Madrid for €31.5 million.
Santos also have the right to receive a percentage for being one of Danilo’s training clubs. FIFA’s solidarity mechanism provides a percentage to the clubs who have trained a player between the age of 12 and 23. America-MG would have a higher percentage in this case because they were the club that revealed Danilo.
