Spared from from Corinthians’ game against Figueirense, Alexandre Pato will return to CT Joaquim Grava on the afternoon of Monday for a training with players who did not participate in the match on Sunday.
In the sights of Spanish side Villarreal, who will compete in the qualifying rounds of the UEFA Champions League, Alexandre Pato will have a conversation with the club’s board to discuss his future. Corinthians coach Cristóvão Borges said: “I talked to the board about it. They told me that there is indeed a possibility of Pato being sold. They are talking about it.”
According to Globo Esporte, Corinthians are hoping to receive a €5 million from the sale of 60% of economic rights; the remaining 40% is with the player himself. The Spanish club are yet to submit an official proposal, but signals with much lower values. The 26-year-old, who has a contract with Corinthians until the end of this year, was on loan at Premier League side Chelsea from January, but played just two matches in England.
