Since the presentation of the Olympic team, on Monday, members of the Brazilian delegation have repeated a speech in common: the 2014 World Cup will have no influence on the Olympic Games. Still, coach Rogério Micale said that the failure at the 2014 World Cup will be cause for motivation for the players. Micale said: “Work on the Olympic team and the U20 side. We talked to the players that the 2014 World Cup has to stay in the past. We need to learn from it, grow with what happened. All of us, CBF, players, all from the football sector, need to act differently to avoid such a situation, and resume the greatness of our football. Our football needs to be revised, rethought, but it has a beautiful history.”
