On Friday, playmaker Paulo Henrique Ganso was authorized by São Paulo to negotiate his contract with La Liga side Sevilla, and agent Giuseppe Dioguardi will try to seal the deal this weekend.
According to the information from UOL Esporte, the authorization was given shortly after São Paulo, DIS [investment group that owns 68% of economic rights] and Sevilla reached a verbal agreement for the transfer of Ganso. Now, the negotiation depends on the agreement between Ganso and Sevilla, but it shouldn"t be difficult. The Spanish team plan to pay €2.2 million per year to the 26-year-old, after discounting taxes. A meeting last Tuesday between the club and DIS director Roberto Moreno to discuss the distribution of the transfer fee had ended without an agreement. But DIS owner Delcir Sonda decided to conduct talks himself and a deal was reached.
According to Globo Esporte, São Paulo and DIS will receive €4.5 million each, while Ganso, who was entitled to €500,000 contractually, gave up his portion. The parties do not confirm who will get this amount. The part of São Paulo can rise to €5.75 million, based on performance related bonuses. The investment group are also negotiating to try and keep 20% of a future transfer of the player.
