Lucas Moura has poured cold water on reports of a move to the Premier League, declaring himself happy with Paris Saint Germain. The Brazilian has been continually linked with a move to the Premier League over the last 12 months.
Lucas told Foot Mercato, “No. I’m happy here. I like Paris. I love the club. I like everyone. I always said I wanted to stay. I want to write my story here. But it depends on the club too. If the club wants me to stay, I stay.”
However, Spanish publication Sport is reporting that Jurgen Klopp has not given up on the idea of buying Lucas, to link up with compatriots Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino, “Liverpool will not surrender for the Brazilian – Jurgen Klopp does not relent with Lucas Moura. Liverpool insists that the Premier League is the ideal place for PSG’s Brazilian to exploit his full potential,” says their story.
PSG have a new manager, with Unai Emery taking over the reigns from Laurent Blanc. It remains to be seen whether he considers Lucas Moura part of his future plans, or whether he is open to selling the Brazilian.
